About Leah
Writer. Communicator. Creative Strategist.
I’m a writer and communications professional with experience across higher education, publishing, marketing, and events.
My work sits at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. I enjoy taking an idea, whether it’s a research project, an event, a campaign, or a creative concept, and turning it into something clear, engaging, and meaningful for its intended audience.
My professional experience includes nonprofit communications, editorial writing, marketing campaigns, event planning, social media, email marketing, graphic design, project coordination, and audience engagement.
I earned my M.A. in Writing and Publishing from Emerson College in 2026, following a B.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing, Cum Laude, in 2025.
My Approach
Write with purpose.
I believe strong writing should do more than sound good. It should communicate a clear idea, serve its audience, and move people toward action.
Think creatively.
Whether I'm developing a campaign, planning an event, or writing a story, I look for ways to make the work distinctive without losing sight of the goal.
Build connections.
My favorite projects bring people together through storytelling, events, communications, or creative communities.
Bring ideas to life.
I enjoy taking projects from the early brainstorming stage through writing, design, coordination, execution, and final delivery.

Outside the Office
Writing is also a major part of my creative life.
My completed novel, we are the irregulars, received the 2026 Emerson College Graduate Writing Award for Distinguished Publishing. The project represents a decade of writing, revision, world-building, and design. It reflects my interest in dark, unconventional stories about identity, memory, family, and rebellion.
When I'm not working on professional communications or creative writing, I’m interested in events, publishing, arts and culture, and finding new ways to bring people together through storytelling.
